Fountain Hills, Arizona, October 28. Michael Arnstein and Katelyne Fischbeck were winners at the 10th annual Javelina Jundred held at McDowell State Park northeast of Phoenix. Indian summer heat reached the low 90s and slowed times on the exposed desert course.

Fischbeck won a thrilling women's race, edging Lindsay Scheiwiller, with the two runners only five minutes apart at the finish. Of the 364 starters, only 160 finished within the 30-hour time limit.
