Sacramento, California, November 1. Todd Braje of McKinleyville, California won the Helen Klein 50 in a swift 5:49:34 despite a
steady, drenching rain throughout the race. Carol Rewick of Vacaville, California was first woman. The race takes place
on the almost flat American River bike path, and is generally considered to be one of the fastest courses in the country. But the
inclement weather - it rained nearly 2 inches on race day - generally slowed times.
