Clark, Shartel Win Jemez Mountain 50

Los Alamos, New Mexico, May 21. Nick Clark and Angela Shartel were winners of the rugged Jemez Mountain 50 Mile. Clark successfully defended his 2010 title and broke Kyle Skaggs' course record in the process, beating everyone else in the field by more than ninety minutes. Shartel, from San Diego, becomes the first sea-level winner in the six-year history of the event, which starts and finishes at 7500 feet elevation, and reaches 10,450 feet at the top of Caballo Mountain.
